Cinema

Hi luvrz,

The movies, film, cinema whatever you want to call it have been vaguely really important to me lately. I spend almost all my free time finding new movies or watching netflix originals. Which like everyone does but i dont have like any other things to do that dont cost money heheh. I pay for a cinema pass thats 20 euro a month and its unlimited movies you can go see. So like its the best way to spend my nights instead of being at the house.

The best part of this, is because of the movies that the (Cineville) theaters play here. They aren’t new movies or huge blockbusters. They play indie cool movies that have really amazing actors and don’t feel so scripted, mostly because they’re older movies so they have weirdo acting and/or the scripts are just better and not over done.

Ive seen most of Quentin Tarantino movies, and some hes been apart of because of a special a theater was having. And now that same theater is having a special on Andrei Tarkovsky, a Russian filmmaker who supposedly changed a lot in the industry at the time. I haven’t been to a screening yet but want to. The movies are in Russian but all have English subtitles, which is nice cause if they were with Dutch subtitles i couldn’t watch them.  But its crazy the amount of amazing films ive seen because of this pass, and English films, like that i never heard of because of the other blockbuster films in the spotlight. And id list them but ive seriously seen a lot haha.

I have been trying to figure out if me watching movies has made me become better and critiquing of analyzing the work that goes into movies but truthfully its just made me appriciate all films more. Like even if the movie “sucks” its just because it was produced in a different way, like you dont know what kind of vision the director/ producer has. It has to take a ton of fricken time to make a movie and make it work. I cannot grasp the thought it takes to make a storyline all fit together. And i mean like i can tell when a movie is better put together and flows, im just saying like since i cant even imagine a script that i say props to those who try.
