hello my loves!
I am writing this on my short plane ride to Amsterdam.
first stop: London
You get the whole travel experience, so i’ll skip that. My mom and I arrived in London at 6:30 on the 6th of March. we took the train from Gatwick airport where we accidentally ended up in 1st class and had to pay some more money… it was clearly marked but we didn’t want to get all our luggage and move. It was amazing looking out of the window and seeing the European nature. I saw many neighborhoods like the one in Love Actually where “he looks for her”. and I got so excited for some odd reason
We got to the hotel that our lovely Brannens got for us and we waited until our room was ready which was around 11. then my mom had a short nap and I got my face on so I could take some pictures or for whatever reason I need makeup on for… Then we booked a double decker bus ride to see all the “big” exciting sites around London!
We walked to the bus stop where we waiting until about 13:00 and finally got on and discovered we needed ear phones to listen to the audio part… so we just payed attention to what roads we were on to see the monuments! We decided we liked this a lot because we really were able to put the city in our minds and appreciated the buildings and people more.
After our tour we were so cold we went back to our hotel to get more layers then sent to Sheapards market and went to the Kings Arms Pub, (which was so freaking cute), and got a beer and some grub! after we left there we went to a pub over by our hotel and the bus stop we took for the bus tour. We watched the end of a huge socccer game where evryone was going NUTS !! it was so fun! then we went back to sleep which it was around 23:30 when we got back!
We woke up on the 7th at 12:00 which was very needed due to the lack of sleep the night before. And we both got our faces on and proceeded to Notting Hill where we didn’t really know what it was or why it was a destination but many of our taxis drivers told us we needed to go. And we decided to walk which was around 0.4 miles!! easy right? we went on an amazing walk where we passed so many great things like:
and passed a school where the kids were getting let out at about 15:00 and I kept saying oh my goodness these kids are so lucky with their walk to school. And then when we were oh so close to whatever Notting hill is it started to drizzle so we decided to plug in a cafe and we proceeded to walk but no luck, we were in a residential area and the rain kept coming!! We ended up walking to the hub of a street and the went into Nero cafe which seemed like the Starbucks of London. We sat and decided to uber to Harrods a huge Macy’s kind of store. and got a glass of Champange.
After that we went to Anthropologie and stopped around a little in that area and decided to walk a bit after where we found an amazing little street.
We walked around thy trying to pick a pub to go into then we decided to go into a weirdly unmarked one and it was so fun! We stayed there until 22:00 then we went to the bus stop pub by our hotel to relax a little! We left there around 00:30 and brought back some burger king to our room! then slept!
We woke up and then I packed and now i’m on the plane to my new home for a year! Crazy short time with my amazing mama but much needed time to get away with her for a little. I can’t wait for everyone to come visit me.
